Awards Heading

Some 230 awards and over 90 trophies are presented to performers who show great promise. They are given at the discretion of the adjudicator, in conjunction with the Festival Committee, and are intended to help pay for future lessons. Award winners need not be first-place prizewinners.

To be considered for a major cash prize, you are strongly advised to enter at least three solo classes in the same discipline, at the grade level of your current studies.

Awards may be transferred from one discipline to another at the discretion of the Festival Committee. We ask that award cheques be cashed by recipients within six months of their date of issue.   After six months, the money will go back to the awards fund for the next festival.

Some memorial awards are included on the following lists. However, a great number of new cash awards are donated each year, as we lead up to the Festival. These will appear in the official Program, in March.

The following trophies and awards will be presented during regular sessions, finals, or at our Stars of the Festival gala on May 17, 2010 at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School.
